Interior Design

We live in a world of global human issues, rapidly advancing technologies, and information that changes just as fast as we can consume it. For future interior designers this means that, more than anything else, they must develop skills in critical and creative thinking. An emerging professional who can find and organize information, critically analyze aspects of a problem, and develop creative and practical solutions can excel in design-related fields.

But at the core of it all, design is still people-centered and designers must understand how to relate to people, uncover their needs, and shape the environment to enhance quality of life.

CADS believes in the power of design to shape a better world, and better spaces for people. Hit the ground running when you graduate and keep pace as the profession evolves. Become a design practitioner who is professionally competent, globally aware and socially engaged. Future professionals choose Auburn University Interior Design.

Come join us in the #7 ranked Interior Design program in the country!

So when I was looking for colleges to attend, I really wanted a program that was highly ranked and very driven. And I found out that Auburn's Interior Design program was ranked in the top 10. Interior Design is set up a bit different than your average college major. It's very studio based. So it's very hands on for you, but also with your peers and your professors, like they'll come over straight to you, and just look over your work and give you critiques and corrections right there on the spot, which is really great to get feedback right then. I'm currently in the Design for Health and Wellness studio. So it's a group project and we are designing a local OBGYN clinic. And this has been really great as we are working with real doctors and physicians, and seeing where they could improve their clinics. And so we've been tying in that research into our project and it's been really exciting and cool to see. And awesome fact about this program is that Interior Design has 100% job placement when you graduate, and that's really assuring and comforting that when you go into this program, you're really going to graduate with success, and you're already going to be planted on solid ground with a job, and usually it's in something that you're really passionate about and interested in from the get go which is great. I'm 100% happy that I came to Auburn and pursued Interior Design. I've been able to produce some great work and enjoy the process. If you're passionate about helping people and improving people's quality of life. Interior Design in Auburn is the best way to go.
