The Culinary Science undergraduate degree option blends the art, science and business of food to prepare graduates for a wide array of employment in commercial and non-commercial food production.
Combining hospitality business management, technical culinary skills and a comprehensive scientific understanding of culinary arts, the Culinary Science degree option offers students the knowledge and skills required to succeed as entrepreneurs, managers and leaders in the global food industry.
The curriculum emphasizes local and sustainable food systems while also exposing students to national and global food systems, as well as culinary history, culture and trends.
Graduates can pursue a wide variety of career possibilities ranging from traditional foodservice employment such as executive chef or food and beverage manager, to more contemporary opportunities such as research and development chef and beyond.
